Course Overview

This qualification defines the skills and knowledge required of an Engineering Tradesperson - Fabrication within metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries. It has been developed to meet the needs of apprentices in the fabrication trade.

Academic Pathway

This qualification must be undertaken through a training contract or through formal trade recognition assessment processes.

Delivery & Assessment

  • Blended delivery supported by the learning management system (Moodle).
  • Assessment may include observation, projects, reports, case studies, role plays, activities, written and oral tasks, questions and presentations.

Entry Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 12.
  • IELTS score of 6.0 total or above with no band lower than 6.0, or accepted equivalent.
  • Mature age students may be considered with relevant work experience and demonstrated capacity to meet course requirements.
